After using Playboy Vegas body spray for a while, I was curious what other scents were offered. I saw that Playboy's "New York" scent had a body wash, so I was definitely intrigued. The reviews were few in number but seemed to be positive, so I ordered it and gave it a whirl. After opening the cap and giving it a whiff, I could tell that this was something different. It's hard to exactly pinpoint what it smells like, but it's definitely good! If you want to save a trip to the product's description, the body wash's scent contains "Top notes of fusing aldehydes, limes, and vinyl accords, heart notes of green apple, elemi, and black pepper, and base notes of vetiver, tonka bean, and vanilla". Take that for you will, but I can best sum this scent up as a rich blend of fruit and spice that smells delicious and evokes class. As good as it is, though, I do have a couple of issues. For one, I had to purchase this from Amazon as an add-on and not an individual item. While this might sound more like an Amazon problem than one originating from the product, searching for the Playboy New York body wash resulted in relatively high prices for one smallish bottle of the stuff (compare $6 for 13.5 ounces of Playboy body wash to $4 for 18 ounces of Irish Spring, for instance). Whether you buy this particular body wash as an add-on with other items or individually from another site, you're going to have to pony up for it, one way or another. Another thing I find off-putting is that the scent doesn't seem to last long after a shower. Maybe I've been doing it wrong this whole time, but the longest I've smelled this stuff on me was for about an hour or two. If that's truly the case, enjoy the compliments with the short time that you have with this scent!Overall, this is a good body wash that I like. It smells really good and gets you clean, two things that I always look for in my body wash and soap purchases. The short endurance and high price are what keep me from loving this stuff, especially when it comes in a smaller-than-average bottle like it does, but if you want to smell like Playboy's bold vision of a New York nightlifer, then you have to pay for the privilege, it seems. Give it a try if you're looking for something classy and exotic in comparison to most men's body wash out there, but don't make a habit of buying it when something from Walmart or Target can do the job just as well for much less money.
