Horse hair is an excellent for bathing brushes because it is soft and pliable while remaining sturdy and durable with a certain elasticity. Used with a good soap it provides a soft, rich lather for a perfect cleaning. Allow the brush to dry standing on the horsehair so that the water is drained away from the wood. Brushes that give "hand-made" a new meaning: In the late 19th century a small brush manufacturing company was started in Stockholm, Sweden called Iris Hantverk. It was a successful venture, so successful that it remains today. Now, as then, every brush is made by hand by visually impaired craftsmen.
