This could have easily been part of Cronenberg’s lineup. If you dig BodyHorror, I’m pretty sure you’ll find much to like with Body Parts. There’s a nice bit of gore, and the film constantly tries to stay tense only slowing down for moments involving the heroes family. However, one has to make concessions by suspending disbelief over a shaky plot and coincidence. Then again: Guy looses entire arm, radical surgery replaces entire arm with the arm of a mass murderer, the arm is possessed and wants to continue with its trade. So going in you’re probably well aware of the preposterousness of the plot. Body Parts is clearly an underrated Diamond in the rough.
