I actually checked out a bunch of child-friendly anatomy books from the library to see which fit our needs the best. I have an 8-year-old who is really interested in anatomy. This book was the "winner." :) Clear pictures. Well-written descriptions. With enough facts to satisfy young curiosities. My younger kids (6, 8, 10) really like this book - and I even catch my teens reading it through (the illustrations and clear descriptions really are great).
