I looked a long time for a good set of knee pads to match the old ones I have now which are evidently no longer made. I like the Velcro straps and had to take my old ones to a local shoe repair fellow who replaced the tears in the straps with leather--I've been using those repaired ones for two years now and counting. I liked these Irwin pads immediately upon putting them on; they are comfortable. The inside cup fits my knee caps perfectly and my knee caps stay in the cups, keeping the front side of the pads in place all the time; pIrwin Knee Pads Professional Wide Bodylus I do not have to tighten the straps so tight as I did with my old pads. My old pads are now consigned to my outdoor garden and like work but I suspect that I like these Irwin pads enough that I will eventually get a second pair for outside "dirt" work!
